Driving along Jalan 222, Pastor Joshua Yee, a Lutheran pastor for some years, heard the voice of God saying, “Build a church in 222.” RLC started in a small rented place, with no electricity, on the 2nd Floor of a small office building in Jalan 222, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia on Oct 31st, 1988. In 1991, RLC bought over a factory lot in Jalan 227 for $2 million. Within three years the main sanctuary was filled and a second service was started in 1994. In 1997, RLC purchased and moved into a $23 million building with state- of-the-art facilities for worship, education, conferences, concerts and others.

Pastor Joshua has written a number of books and pamphlets that are available in the Church bookstore/track-rack.

One of the unique thrusts of our church is to reach out to mainline churches all over the world. Hence, we retain some of the identity of a mainline church.

RLC has a united team of care leaders, zone leaders and zone pastors that has been trained and equipped to minister healing, deliverance, counselling and prophecy.
